Since Medici MediaSpace began in August of 2016, we have grown into an eclectic community of people who are building business and honing their craft. From our weekly strategy sessions to events in our spaces, we have had the joy of watching and participating with our members as they Build Their Own Medici. The variety of options that are available in our building open a myriad of opportunities for our Community Members to bring their own communities together. This is just a sampling:
Marty Casey is teaching acting in her Act Up Class on Monday nights. In addition to creating his own music, Timothy McGimpsey is teaching his students how to play. We have two radio stations – Mix 99.5 and KOVL-FM – in our building. Millennium Entertainment is hosting a Casting Party for Singers, Dancer, Actors, Vocal Talents, Comedians and Models to try out for films, commercials, music videos, plays and more. Ralleigh Grandberry has been playing and teaching music for many years, and he’s hosting a Village Music event for anyone who is interested in pursuing their musical passion. Sean Brady will be hosting a focus group for realtors. Almost every Friday, Maureen Hughes is teaching an Energy Flow Yoga Class.
We are honored to have Dr. Tom Hill and his Hill’s Angels get together every month at Medici. Tom shares influential books, interesting websites, the latest news, an Eagle of the Week and much more in his weekly Eaglezine newsletters. Two members of his community, Steve Denny and Terry Lammers, were recently recognized by Small Business Monthly as one of St. Louis’s 2018 Best Mergers & Acquisition Providers. Brian Rogers of Blue Maven Law also received this special award.
Do you want to learn how to maximize your networking experience or how to write a book and get it published? Do you need administrative assistance? Would you like to find out how you can get into television and movie development? There are members who dedicate weekly office hours for discussing and working on specific goals and projects that are designed to benefit your business.
Kristen Edens, a gifted business writer and blogger, wrote about what it’s like to be part of our co-working environment. We appreciate that Kris shared her views in the Co-working Space and the Introvert Entrepreneur: Busting a Myth.
Ah, mastery… what a profoundly satisfying feeling when one finally gets on top of a new set of skills… and then sees the light under the new door those skills can open. ~ Gail Sheehy
